Grace Part 5 - A Legacy of Grace

What do we leave behind?  God has given us a gift of grace and time.  In the time that we have here, what do we do with that time?  Will we take steps to show others the mercy and goodness that we've been shown?
Grace is the legacy that was left for us on a cross, showing the lengths to which God would go for a people who were broken and dying. Now, there is hope for the future. Now, there is new life in Christ.  How will we share that life with the world?  What will we leave behind?

Grace Part 4 - Delighting in Grace

We serve an awesome God.  Who else made the sun, the other stars and galaxies, the oceans, the fish, the birds, the plants, the animals, and us?  And not just made us, but picks us out from among the cornucopia of creation for fellowship?  Do we delight in this? Do we live in joy?  Today, ask God to help you live in joy for the future. As the hymn says,"I've got joy like a fountain...."
Happiness comes from our circumstances, which can be good or bad; Joy comes from within, despite, against, alongside, or with. We strive for happiness and pleasure; joy is found.
Relax - may you find joy in Christ!

Grace Part 3 - Sustaining Grace - Exodus 20.1-17

In between the high moments in life, come the low moments.  Who will sustain you when times are rough.  Right now, if things are going well, those times may have receded so far into our memory, that we don't remember going through them.
At the same time, if you are in a deep valley, how do you get back out?  Psalm 23 says,"Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and your staff— they comfort me." God walks with us through the tough times.
The introduction to the Ten Commandments remind us that God is with us, always.  God is still with us, sustaining us with grace.

Grace Part 2 - Grace for Regrets- Romans 4.13-25

Do you have regrets in life?  A past that just won't go away?  Decisions you wish you'd made?  Choices without follow-through?
God's grace is there for our regrets.  Regret means living in the past.  Trusting in God means living for today with clean slate, day by day.
Join us Sunday as we discuss how God helps us work through our regrets.
